Project to train oil cadres in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: The head of Basra’s Investment Commission announced today that a French company proposed an investment project in fields of engineering and technical training and education.

Khalaf al-Badran told IraqiNews.com that the discussions were made on training oil industry cadres. He expressed support to such project because Basra is planning to rehabilitate oil industry cadres to meet future demands. The project is to train the cadres by French teachers and lecturers in cooperation with Iraqi oil ministry, Southern Oil Company, Southern Gas Company and the National Oil Company.

It is also aimed to create Iraqi trainers over five years of work and grant the graduates OPITO certificate.
