Pupil dies after teacher harshly rebukes him in Baaquba

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: A pupil at an elementary school in the city of Baaquba died hours after his teacher harshly rebuked him for stealing his colleague’s meal, an official source in Diala said on Friday. “A pupil in the third elementary grade passed away of a heart attack at his home a few hours after his female teacher harshly rebuked and humiliatingly punished him in front of the class for stealing his fellow pupil’s meal,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. A source in the Diala Education Department said a commission was set up to investigate the incident. He did not give further details.
