Subbi religion Celebrate Golden Baptism
MISSAN / IraqiNews.com: Tens of Subbis in Missan province today began their golden baptism rituals on the banks of the Tigris. This baptism is one of the religious pillars of the Subbi religion. According to their belief , it was the festivity for baptism of Adam, where all religious people should baptize as their predecessors did. The head of Subbi sect in the province, Badr Jassim Hammadi, said that the baptism is performed on children 30 days after their birth. If they remain un-baptised, they will not enter the world of lights. Baptism for Subbis is important, otherwise they will not be regarded members of this religion. Subbis are the ancient inhabitants of Iraq. Most of their rituals are connected with the water. They follow their religious instructions from their holy book called (Kenza Ruba), and the day of Sunday is their sacred day. RM (TS)/SR 524
