Syrian TV apologizes after child anime show features topless character
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Syria’s TV issued an apology Monday after a children anime show showed a topless girl at one scene, admitting that the material was not revised in advance.
Syria Drama said in a statement that “revising the show, the mistake was confirmed, and apology became mandatory for viewers”, vowing to “take action against delinquent workers to ensure the mistake is not repeated”.
The channel said the error, which occurred airing a Japanese anime show, Sasuki Adventures, was “unintentional, yet grave”.
The scene was met with both condemnation and ridicule, from social networks users.
Sasuki Adventures, a story of a Ninja fighter, is a Knack Productions show that was first introduced in 2014.
