Talabani stresses expanded services to provinces

SULAIMANIYA / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi President Jalal Talabani on Monday stressed the need to expand public services in the provinces and disadvantaged villages, according to a presidential release. “Talabani gave the statements after receiving Sheikh Jamal al-Wakil, the secretary general of the Islamic accordance movement, in a meeting at his residence in Sulaimaniya province to exchange views on political developments in Iraq,” read the statement as received by IraqiNews.com. “The meeting also tackled the results of the provincial council elections as President Talabani underlined the success of the voting process and its role in deepening the march of democracy and strengthening national reconciliation in the country,” it added.
