WHO Middle East new rep. from Iraq
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Ministry of Health announced today that their candidate won the post of Middle East representative for the World Health Organization, a ministry statement reported. The statement, as received by IraqiNews.com, added that Dr.Ala’ al-deen Al-Alwan won the post, replacing the Saudi representative who held two rounds according to the internal statute of the organization. The Iraqi candidate competed with candidates from Yemen, Syria, Egypt, and Pakistan. According to preliminary estimates, Alwan had the greater opportunity, followed by Pakistani candidate.
