Woman delivers 5 babies in Baghdad

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: An Iraqi woman gave birth to five healthy babies at a hospital in eastern Baghdad on Sunday, a media spokesman for the al-Rasafa health department said. “A woman delivered five healthy male babies after a 20-minute Caesarean section at the Fatima al-Zahraa hospital (formerly al-Habibiya) in Baghdad’s district of Sadr City,” Qassem Abdelhadi said in statements to IraqiNews.com news agency. “The surgery was a success and the mother is in a good health,” he said. Abdelhadi added that the babies’ paternal aunt and other women in the family had history of delivering twins. AmR (P) 1
