Women Development Centers are Required – Minister
WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: Minister of State for Women Affairs called for establishing centers to improve the potential of women throughout Iraqi provinces, pointing out that the Board University of Wassit has no female members. Minister Dr. Ibtihal Kasid Al-Zaidi told IraqiNews.com during her visit to the province that “it is important to open such centers in all provinces and their administrative units in order to enable women develop their potential and work at home.” “The woman should be independent, not counting on social security salary,” she added. The Minister expressed its astonishment that the Board of Wassit University has no female member though it has women with academic potentials.” Kut, center of Wassit Province, lies 180 km south east of the capital, Baghdad.
